Four persons were killed after a tractor-trolley veered off the road and overturned in Madhya Pradesh's Anuppur district on Sunday morning, police said.
The accident occurred in the Karanpathar police station area when the vehicle from Karanjia in Dindori district was heading to Anuppur to collect crushed gravel, an official said.
The tractor lost control and overturned by the roadside, trapping its occupants, who died on the spot, Karanpathar station house officer Birendra Varkade told reporters.
Police teams reached the spot and launched efforts to lift the overturned tractor, he said.
The deceased were yet to be identified as the efforts to extricate their bodies are underway, the official said, adding that the victims were believed to be from Dindori.The three-day visit from April 19 to 21 aims to deepen the "Special Strategic Partnership" between India and South Korea, with a focus on defence, high-tech manufacturing and regional security.

A massive fire broke out at a thermocol factory in the Mujesar Industrial Area here, officials said on Sunday.
No casualties were reported in the fire that broke out on Saturday night.
Eighteen fire brigade vehicles were sent to the scene, and after four hours of effort, the blaze was brought under control and all workers were safely evacuated.
According to the police, the fire broke out at the Kiran Packaging Industry. A series of explosions within the factory triggered panic in the area.
Soon after, the flames also engulfed the nearby Omega Bright Steel Industry and Envosafe Aqua Solutions.
"The cause of the fire is currently unknown. According to police, information regarding the incident was received on April 15, after which a team from the local police station rushed to the spot and initiated an inquiry.
An FIR was registered promptly in connection with the case, and one accused was apprehended during the course of the investigation, a police officer said.
The police, however, did not disclose the identity of the arrested accused.
The police said that the situation remained under control and necessary preventive measures were taken to maintain law and order in the area.
Further investigation into the case is underway to ascertain the motive behind the act and whether any other persons were involved, the police added.At least four people are feared dead and some others were injured in a pile-up involving a bus, a garlic-laden lorry, a car and multiple two-wheelers near Danapur in Hospet taluk of Vijayanagara district on National Highway 50 on Sunday morning, police said.
According to police sources, the accident began as a minor collision but escalated when the speeding lorry rammed into a bike and subsequently crashed into a bus and a car before overturning.
The lorry fell onto the car and dragged it for nearly 100 metres after the impact, police said.
Preliminary inquiry suggests the driver was transporting garlic towards Chitradurga and was driving at high speed, leading to loss of control and a chain collision.
“The four occupants of the car are feared to have died on the spot after the lorry toppled onto the vehicle,” police sources said, adding that some people sustained injuries, some of them serious.
Rescue operations were underway to clear the overturned vehicle and retrieve those trapped.
The injured have been shifted to government hospitals in Hospet and Koppal for treatment, they added.

A 33-year-old man was allegedly murdered following a drunken brawl with his friend at Erattayar late Saturday night, police said. The accused has been arrested.
The deceased has been identified as Rahul. Police arrested his friend Sajayan in connection with the incident.
The incident occurred around 10.45 pm near the old panchayat office in Erattayar. Rahul and Sajayan, who were engaged in painting work, had reportedly purchased liquor and consumed it together.
After drinking, a quarrel broke out. Sajayan allegedly assaulted Rahul and then strangled him, police said. He dragged the body some distance before leaving the spot.
Local residents alerted police. Rahul was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Police later took Sajayan into custody from his residence.
A murder case has been registered by Kattappana police. The accused will be produced before a court for remand proceedings.
Delhi Police arrested two suspected Lagarpuria gang members after a gunfight in Shyam Vihar early Sunday, officials said. One accused, Rocky (22), was injured in the leg.
Police said Rocky opened fire when challenged, firing three rounds. One bullet hit a policeman's bulletproof vest. Police retaliated and overpowered both Rocky and Sumit alias Koki (24).
Pistols and the motorcycle used in a previous shooting were seized. The accused were wanted for an April 18 firing incident in Chhawla.
The Haryana Drug Control Department has busted a fake injection racket and seized Mounjaro drug stock worth Rs 70 lakh, officials said on Saturday. One supplier has been arrested.
The raids were conducted based on a tip-off that a consignment of Mounjaro injection — a drug imported from Italy — had reached Gurugram.
"We arrested one accused named Muzammil with the help of local police and seized a large quantity of the drug," said Amandeep Chauhan of the Drug Control Department, Gurugram.
On enquiry, officials learnt that Muzammil is an employee of a company that is not licensed to sell the drug.
"Seeing the quantity of injection seized, we believe it is a spurious one," Chauhan added.
Further investigation is underway.
