DEHRADUN: A court here on Tuesday extended till March 11 the judicial custody of former Uttar Pradesh minister Amarmani Tripathi and his wife Madhumani in the poetess Madhumita Shukla murder case.
After hearing brief arguments, Additional Sessions' Judge Meena Tiwari ordered the couple and three others accused in the murder -- Rohit Chaturvedi, Prakash Pandey and Santosh -- to be kept in judicial custody till March 11.

The next date of hearing has been fixed on March 12. Amarmani told reporters he has full faith in the judiciary and that truth will prevail.
The case is being heard here after the Supreme Court ordered the shifting of the case from Lucknow on the request of Madhumita's family members that the accused are trying to influence the witnesses of the case.
