Militants shot dead villager in J&K

JAMMU: Militants shot dead a villager after kidnapping him in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said on Tuesday.
A group of three militants barged into the house of Fareed Malik around 2330 hours on Monday night and took him to the residence of Abdul Majid in Jigwan-Bharat area of Doda district, they said.
He was first tortured and later shot dead, they said, adding the militants later fled from the scene.
The house inmate, who recovered the body this morning, informed the police, they said.
Police have launched an operation to nab the militants.
