JK Rowling's new children's book 'The Christmas Pig' is all set to be released in October this year. The author recently took to social media where she revealed the cover of her new book, which is illustrated by Jim Field. Here's what Rowling wrote:
'Field has illustrated the full colour, gold-foiled jacket and the decorative cover beneath. He has also illustrated nine black and white spreads and design features for the interior, some of which will be revealed as part of the pre-publication campaign,' reads a report by The Bookseller.
'The Christmas Pig' follows Jack as he attempts to retrieve Dur Pig, his childhood toy. The standalone story is aimed at kids 8 and above.
Praising Jim Field's illustrations, Rowling said, according to The Bookseller, “Jim’s illustrations are simply perfect. It really is as though he got inside my head and drew what he saw there. I gasped out loud when I saw one particular illustration — I can’t say which it is without giving spoilers — because it was such a perfect representation of one of my favourite scenes.”
'The Christmas Pig' by JK Rowling is expected to be out on October 12, 2021.
