Oscars 2021: Bandeau tops steal the fashion spotlight

The Oscar Awards held on April 25 saw the A-list dress twirl in their best on the red carpet, something that has come up after a long slew of key events being cancelled in lieu of the pandemic. Stars showed up at two venues for the 93rd Academy Awards - the Dolby Theatre and the Union Station in Los Angeles - in their best, and the glitzy function saw quite a few fashion trends light up the night.While highlighter hues made for one trend that stood out, several stars also chose to wear tulle. Another huge highlight were sexy crop tops and bandeau tops that showed off some risqué style.
How they rocked the midriff-baring style
Actress Andra Day, who was nominated for best actress for ‘The United States vs. Billie Holiday’, turned heads in her gold fitting bandeau top with a skirt and slinky train that she wore with yellow and white diamond earrings and Carey Mulligan also chose a sequin gold bandeau crop top with her high-waisted sequin full skirt. She pulled her hair back in a bun to go with the whole look. And Zendaya brought neon back with her gorgeous highlighter neon yellow strapless gown that had a bandeau-style front with her long skirt that she accentuated with her with her jaw-dropping jewellery said to be over $6 million.
