“With an experience of over 20 years of organising the two biggest and most credible fashion weeks in the country, it was the perfect time for the FDCI and LFW to join forces and come together to do fashion weeks together, first in Delhi and now in Mumbai, where FDCI has returned after 16 years. Our coming together also means better representation and a platform for designers across the country. Some of the best-known names from the fashion industry are presenting their collections on the runway, and designers have put up stalls at FDCI Showroom, the area which has been a huge hit among the buyers,” says Sunil Sethi, Chairman, FDCI.

He adds that as international travel has picked up now, after the two years of the pandemic, the buyers’ turnout has been exceptionally good. “There are over 200 domestic and international buyers here, which makes this event a huge success in terms of business for the fashion fraternity,” says Sethi.

To help fashion designers reach out to direct consumers, the fashion week will end with a one-day FDCI Designer Stockroom
on October 16, where designers will put out their collections on a massive range of discounts. “With the ongoing festive season, there is a lot of excitement around Designer Stockroom as that will be the perfect chance for buyers to shop directly from their favourite designers at a very good price. We have been organising Designer Stockroom from the last few editions, and it has been a huge hit among shoppers,” shares Sethi.
