Karnataka's iconic Nandini Milk is all set to make a sensational entry into Delhi

Karnataka's renowned milk brand, Nandini Milk, which exclusively provides ghee to the Tirupati Temple's Prasad, is all set to enter the Delhi market. The brand will officially be launched in the national capital today. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the event, marking the first-ever entry of Nandini Milk into Delhi. With this launch, Nandini Milk is poised to compete with established market leaders like Amul and Mother Dairy, which dominate Delhi’s dairy market. As per news reports, the launch will take place at the Ashoka Hotel in Delhi at 12 noon, along with much fanfare. Karnataka Milk Federation, operating under the brand name Nandini, will host the program. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will also be present, which is adding importance to this milestone for the Karnataka-based cooperative.

Expansion in the North Indian market
KMF is already a well-established brand in southern and western India, with products in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Kerala. In Maharashtra, Nandini products are available in cities like Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, and Solapur. By entering the Delhi market, KMF aims to strengthen its position in North India and capture a share of the competitive dairy market.

Plans and product expansion
As per Karnataka Milk Federation, from November 21, Nandini Milk products will be available in huge quantities in Delhi. The brand is also planning to launch Dosa and Idli batter in Karnataka on November 26, 2024, to expand its product portfolio in the state.

As Amul and Mother Dairy dominate households in North India, Nandini Milk holds the same ranking in South India. Owned by the Karnataka Cooperative Milk Producers Federation Limited (KMF), Nandini is Karnataka's largest milk brand, with an extensive distribution network across neighbouring states including Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. KMF happens to be India's second-largest dairy cooperative after Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (Amul) and is continuing expansion in every nook and corner of the country.
