While chefs are busy experimenting with different variations of this new-age breakfast delight, there is an artist who has made a sculpture of the duo and is worth USD 3 million.
Tim Bengel, a German artist has made an 18-karat gold sculpture of avocado toast.

The video of this unique piece of art was shared by the artist a week ago and has garnered 2.3 million views and 342 comments.
As per his Instagram post, it’s his first attempt at making sculptures. His post reads, “My first sculpture #WhoWantsToLiveForever”. Take a look:

As per the video subtitles, the sculpture is cast out of 12 pounds of 18-karat solid gold. Tim states, “I made it after a real avocado bagel, which I had 3D scanned and eaten afterward.”
The sculpture has 27 individual parts including two bagel halves, five tomato slices, five onion rings, five avocado strips, and ten arugula leaves.
As per the video, the artwork is titled Who Wants To Live Forever? And is now a part of the Berlin Art Week exhibition in Germany.

Tim considers avocado as a symbol of the millennial generation and he wanted to capture the Zeitgeist in this work.
For the unversed, avocado is trending in the food world and experts feel that it’s a healthy fruit that is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, fibre, vitamins C, E, K, and B6, as well as riboflavin, niacin, folate. It has been proven that eating avocados can also lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
