Beat the stress

Here are a few ways to burst those stress bubbles...
Beat the stress
When 28-year-old Sara looked at her dark circles and very discernible wrinkles, she was quite perturbed. When these were accompanied by severe headaches and cramps, she realised that she was suffering from nothing but stress!
In todays way of life, a person doesnt need any reason to be stressed out. My boss picks on me at least thrice a week for no reason at all.

If he gets yelled at by his seniors, he tries to unleash it on me and a few of my privileged colleagues, says Sriram V, a financial manager.
If its pressure at the workplace that irritates the men folk, the ladies of the land have numerous reasons to crib as well. Cooking, packing lunch for the family, tidying the house, remembering dates and occasions and juggling between office and home its a difficult task for us, sighs Kanti Mehta, a homemaker and professional. Is stress a way of life, then?
H Sridhar, a counselor says, Days of leisure are gone. One has to be on his/her feet 24x7 in todays trying times. Its but natural for people to get stressed out. Some of the most common reasons for stress among people are death, problems in career, trouble in the family and change. But, its equally necessary for us to know how to reduce stress.
When a person is anxious, they tend to forget things often. They might also become careless and their power to concentrate reduces. In case of teenagers, they may suffer from sudden emotional outbursts. As far as adults are concerned, it is common knowledge that the reason behind high blood pressure, sleeplessness and hair loss is most often stress! adds Sridhar.
So, how does one control stress and strain? Keeping yourself relaxed is the key to beat stress. Instead of popping pills to control your trauma, try taking small walks when stressed. Listen to music and get away for at least two days in a month from the hustle and bustle of the city. These are some quick and easy ways to stop wracking your nerves, he concludes.

SOME STRESS BUSTERS
Take a hike Power walking only helps to reduce accumulated fat! The key word is leisure walking. Instead of huffing and puffing while walking, try to pay attention to the humming birds and breezing greens of the trees
Sha la la Dont worry if you are no match to Lata Mangeshkar. Just sing aloud. Put on your earphones and tap your feet to the rhythm.
A well deserved break Its recession time alright! But taking some time off to visit an art gallery or a tourism spot near the city isnt going to burn a hole in your pocket.
Meditate Yoga, meditation and other forms of spiritual practice will help you relax. Also, light incense sticks or aroma candles for a soothing atmosphere.
