‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’ actor Aahana Kumra body-shamed for wearing a bikini!

We say we have become modern, we own our bodies and we decide what we want to do with them; however, there’s still a bunch out there that refuses to grow up! Body-shaming is one of the cruelest victimizations that women still have to go through every now then and this was proven again with ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’ actress Aahana Kumra being shamed for merely posting a photograph in bikini! And that too, at a beach!
The actress was in Australia to attend Darwin International Film Festival and to have a brief vacation.She posted her pictures on Instagram showing her time at a beach.



Then came a flood of body shamers giving out unasked advice asking her to go to the gym to reduce belly fat. Some said, “Pet thoda kam karo”, while others asked her to go to gym.
Seems like Aahana didn’t make a deal out of the trolls as she continued posting photographs of her trip. However, the caption that she gave to her next post was a minimal comeback, asking a rhetorical question, “Do we shape the world? Or does the world shape us?

However, a pertinent question that still lurks is that why do we want actors to look the way we want them too? People called Kriti Sanon as extremely gaunt and they disapproved what Priyanka Chopra choses to wear.
However, a ray of hope still exists as many backlashed at the shamers saying things like, “Haters will always hate. Just don't bother. Keep up the good work and enjoy your life.”
