​Parenting lessons modern moms could borrow from Nita Ambani​

When the discussion is about the Ambani household, many are in awe of Nita Ambani's parenting skills. The chairperson and founder of the Reliance Foundation, Dhirubhai Ambani International School, and Director of Reliance Industries, Nita dons many hats, and the most important one among them is that of a mother. The 59-year-old's way of raising kids does have certain life-changing lessons many modern moms can relate to.

"My mom was way stricter. If we wanted to bunk school, dad would be like "it's no big deal" but Mom would ensure we ate on time, studied hard and got our playtime as well," Isha Ambani had revealed once. Being strict with kids, especially about the way they utilize their time, is a great way of conveying it to them that time is a very precious thing.

Being a part of the Ambani household and holding several responsibilities surely would have left her with less time for her kids. But that never stopped Nita from being the good mother she is today. It has also been revealed by Isha that Nita was always there for them when they grew up and maintained a balance in her career and her role in the family.

Born into one of the richest families in the world, everyone assumes that the Ambani siblings might have had a lavish upbringing. No, that is not the case. Nita's approval for a small pocket money allowance is widely circulated and referred to on social media. Kids should be taught the value of money, and not be spoilt with giving them lots of it.

The Ambani matriarch's rule of parenting was very clear: does not matter if you are running the biggest company or having the biggest responsibility, if you are a parent you should have a better influence on your kids. Reports say even Mukesh Ambani used to abide by this rule and devote time to his kids despite his hectic schedule.

Nita always keeps an eye on her kids. She knows where they are or what they are up to. While intrusion is a negative parenting trait, being aware of their activities and staying alert for what they might be up to is a strong parenting skill that every modern parent should embrace.
