What we can learn about moving on positively from Dia Mirza’s husband’s ex-wife
B-Town recently witnessed the second marriage of Dia Mirza with Vaibhav Rekhi. Vaibhav Rekhi’s first wife Sunaina Rekhi recently opened up about her thoughts on her ex-husband’s marriage when people extended their concerns about her well-being after her ex's marriage. She went on to write in an Instagram post, “It is so important for a child to see love in their lives, and if Samaira couldn't see that kind of love between her father and her mother when she was a young girl, at least she sees love now and she carries that beauty and energy in her future which is so lovely.

To be able to see the love in a marriage. I think that's very special and I'm very happy for Samaira, her dad and Dia."
Sunaina’s positive response to her ex-husband’s wedding has been winning hearts all over. She further thanked netizens for their concerns and support. “I am Sunaina Rekhi, you may have heard the name; definitely now because it is all over the news. Yes, my ex-husband has gotten married to Dia (Mirza). I have been getting a lot of DMs and WhatsApps to ask if I am okay if everything is okay, if I and Samaira are fine. First, I want to say thank you for feeling like I am your own, and for your concerns. And it's a really nice extension for her. We don't have any family in Bombay and it's nice she has more family. It is always nice to create more extension in your lives.”
Many people find it really difficult to move on after being separated from their spouses. Societal standards make it difficult for people to find love for a second time, especially if they happen to have children. However, Sunaina’s thoughts on moving on after marital separation and finding love again in life, is indeed commendable.
Projecting such constructive and optimistic values over marriage can inspire others to also leave behind the conservative norms of traditional marriage in society. Separation, co-parenting, moving on, finding love once again-are natural possibilities that every person should embrace. If your ex-spouse has moved on (as they should), you should learn to let go and focus on finding a happier life, free of any sadness, solitude or guilt.
The 3 essential steps of moving on
The first step towards being happy is to accept that your ex has moved on. Once you force your mind to believe that, you can find yourself surrounded by a calm aura that allows you to feel happy and liberated from a marriage that simply didn’t work out. That’s right-'liberation.'
The second step is to allow yourself to be open to opportunities of finding love once again. You should understand that with this, you are setting a very healthy example of
relationships and love for your child, especially if they are in their growing years. Your child shouldn’t have to grow up in a toxic surrounding where the parents weep over broken, past relationships. Instead, be grateful for the second chances given to you.
The third and final step is to move on, completely. You shouldn’t feel bothered about what your ex is doing. Moreover, if you’re happy that they have found love once again, then you’re moving in the right direction! This shouldn’t also stop you from taking a second chance at love. True love can strike you not only once, but even twice or thrice! So, being open to love and opportunities is the final and most important step of moving on.
Focus on child-development during this stage
Allowing your child to grow through such processes is also a very essential step that should be analysed carefully. You should be careful that the separation between you and your spouse should not negatively affect the child. Inundate them in an environment beaming with positivity and favourableness. Teach them the values of marriage, love and separation as well, since it’s very important to deal with such situations, if they ever happen to arise. Teaching your child valuable lessons like these, will take them a long way ahead, and will also help you to move on and find love.
