We have always placed our teachers and Gurus on the highest pedestal, even higher than the Gods, and have worshipped and idolised them for the longest time. And in a pool of Swamis and saints, there are some spiritual Gurus who have enlightened people, better their lives and have left behind a ton of knowledge and wisdom. And overtime, these Gurus came to be known as avatars of Gods.

Guru ji Nirmal Singh Maharaj

Nirmal Singh Maharaj, more popularly known as Guru ji, and who has the chant of ‘Jai Guru ji, Shukrana Guru ji, Anantam Anantam Shukrana Guru ji’, is considered to be an incarnation of Lord Shiva. Nirmal Singh Maharaj’s life and teachings have always been in sync with the teachings and life of Lord Shiva himself, and he has blessed his devotees with good health, and happiness, removed any financial woes, and much more.
He has one of the biggest temples in Chhatarpur, Delhi known as Bade Guru Ji temple.

Neem Karoli Baba

Neem Karoli Baba, also called Maharaj-ji, is considered an avatar of Lord Hanuman, the devoted servant of Lord Ram, and a symbol of unconditional love. Neem Karoli Baba’s life was similar to that of Lord Hanuman, filled with simplicity, humility, and devotion to the Gods.

Neem Karoli Baba became particularly famous when Steve Jobs, Julia Roberts, and other international personalities came out as his devotees.
His ashram in Kainchi Dham, Uttarakhand, is a sight to behold and is full of love and serenity.

Baba Nithyananda


Baba Nithyananda is a spiritual teacher who is believed to be an avatar of Paramashiva, the cosmic form of Lord Shiva. It is believed that Paramashiva is the infinite energy of the Universe, the divine consciousness, and the creative force that made the Universe and now governs it.
Baba Nithyananda’s followers believe in his divine forms, his unique teaching of ancient scriptures and spiritual sciences.

Anandamayi Ma

Mata Anandamayi was also a spiritual Guru, and was believed to be an avatar of Maa Durga, the glowing Goddess who is both loving and ferocious. It is believed that Maa Anandamayi’s face had a different, divine glow to it, and her energy remained jovial all the time and she spread happiness to everyone she met.
Anandmayi Maa is believed to have talked about eternal bliss that comes from connecting with the divine.

Sathya Sai Baba


Evident by the name, Sathya Sai Baba is considered to be an incarnation of Shirdi Sai Baba. It is said when he was just 14 years of age Sathya Sai Baba left home claiming that he was an avatar of Sai and that his devotees needed his help.
Throughout his life, Sathya Sai Baba performed numerous miracles, healed the sick, talked about religious unity, and believed in truth, peace, love, and unity.
