What the scheme offers

  • Rs. 1,50,000 for repairing an existing house.

Who can apply

Two conditions must be met to be eligible:1. The applicant must belong to a scheduled tribe community of Goa.2. The total annual family income must not exceed Rs. 3,00,000.

How to apply

The application process is entirely offline and there is no online portal. Here is how it works:
  • Walk into the Department of Tribal Welfare office at Shram Shakti Bhavan
Address: 5th Floor, Patto, Panaji, Goa – 403 001.
  • Pick up the application form there, or download and print it yourself.
  • Fill in all the required fields, attach a signed passport-size photograph, and self-attest the supporting documents wherever needed.
  • Submit the completed form and documents to the concerned official at the same office.

Documents needed

For all applicants, regardless of whether it is a new construction, reconstruction, or repair:
  • Affidavit in the prescribed format
  • House tax receipt
  • Income certificate
  • ST certificate from a competent authority
  • Passbook copy
  • Photograph of the existing house with the applicant visible in the frame
  • Copy of Aadhaar card
  • Copy of ration card
  • Mandate form
  • Sanction order under JAY/RAY scheme, if previously availed
  • Detailed Estimate from Registered Engineer / Architect / Contractor who is registered under PWD / GSIDC / Government Department or Autonomous Body.
For new construction and reconstruction specifically, two additional documents are required:Ownership documents of the land, or a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the landownerConstruction licence from a competent authorityFor all construction and repair cases, a detailed cost estimate from a registered engineer, architect, or contractor, one who is registered under PWD, GSIDC, or any government department or autonomous body, must also be submitted.
Atal Asra Yojana is a housing support scheme for Goa's tribal population. Eligible Scheduled Tribe families in Goa with an annual income of up to Rs 3 lakh can apply for financial assistance under the scheme to build, reconstruct or repair their homes.
