Three dead, 17 affected by mysterious disease

murshidabad: three persons have died of a mysterious disease and 17 others afflicted by it in dhulian area of west bengal's murshidabad district, a senior police official said on sunday. the disease caused high fever and vomiting among the affected, authorities of anupnagar hospital, where the three died on saturday, said. the dead and the affected are all bidi workers who had been to jharkhand for work and had returned about 10 days ago, additional superintendent of police shankar singh said.he said 17 bidi workers were removed to berhampore sadar hospital from anupnagar hospital on sunday and the authorities have been approached to send a medical team from kolkata.
