DC vs KKR Highlights, IPL 2025: Kolkata Knight Riders beat Delhi Capitals by 14 runs, keep their playoff hopes alive

It goes high in the air and straight to cover. Vipraj Nigam settles under and takes a simple catch. Venkatesh Iyer will be dejected with the choice of shot, and KKR are in some sort of trouble now.

Kolkata Knight Riders lose both set batters in quick succession. Bowls the arm-ball and angles it into middle and leg, quicker through the air as well. Ajinkya Rahane is undone by the pace as he looks to turn it across and gets beaten onto the pads. The DC players go up in unison and the umpire raises his finger again. Ajinkya Rahane does not opt for the review and walks immediately. He departs on 26 (14) and KKR have slipped from 85/0 to 91/3 now.

Vipraj Nigam to Angkrish Raghuvanshi, FOUR! Fortutious! Vipraj Nigam tosses it up, on off and gets the ball to grip and turn away. Angkrish Raghuvanshi plays it very late and gets a faint outside edge that goes past the keeper to his right for a boundary.

Bowls it quicker full and straight, at the stumps, marginally sliding towards the off stump. Lands and turns a tad into the batter. Sunil Narine looks to heave it across the line but plays all over it and misses. The ball skids through and hits him on the front pad, right in front of the stumps. A slight appeal is all that the umpire needed and he raises his finger. Sunil Narine departs for 27 (16) and KKR are 85/2.

Strategic Break. It's been a very positive start for KKR, with intent. The top order has formed a solid base inside the Powerplay and it is now time for them to consolidate this start. DC bowlers, on the other hand, haven't been up to their best so far and need to get quick breakthroughs to halt KKR's runaway train. It appears to be a good batting track with no such demons in it. Starc, interestingly, has bowled three overs, which means, he won't be bowling in that middle over phase. It is up to the spinners to stem the run flow. Here's Vipraj Nigam into the attack. While running, Narine holds his right thigh, but somehow gets to the other end.

There is an appeal for caught behind, and Delhi Capitals are celebrating already. The third umpire is summoned to check. The replay shows the ball bounces before the bat, and the UltraEdge loads up with a spike. The third umpire is convinced that it is clearly off the bat and now checks the catch from the keeper and deems it a fair take too. OUT it is! Rahmanullah Gurbaz departs!

Mitchell Starc to Rahmanullah Gurbaz, OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Starc breaks the opening partnership, which was looking really threatening. He steams in from around the stumps and angles it into the off stump. Gurbaz tries to shovel it out, but misses by a very close margin. It passes scaringly close to the outside edge and carries flat and low to the keeper. An appeal for caught behind, but the umpire is not that sure if the ball bounced on the ground, way to the keeper. But Starc thinks he has got his man. But did that carry to Porel? Looks like it has. The two umpires converge and send it upstairs. UltraEdge comes and shows a spike when the ball is right next to the bat. Now, the third umpire looks for the fairness of the catch. Porel has done a clean job behind the wickets, diving to his right. Rahmanullah Gurbaz departs for a quickfire 26 (12) and this is KKR's highest opening stand this season. They are 48/1.
