It is reliably learnt that his father was undergoing cancer treatment for over a year, and his condition has deteriorated in the last few days.The entire team trained in Chennai from around 5:30 pm today (Tuesday, Feb 24), but Rinku was a notable absentee. While there has been no official word on him missing the training from the BCCI, TimesofIndia.com understands that he has already left the city to be by his father's side. Rinku has been a regular in the Playing XI during India's ongoing T20 World Cup campaign. Nevertheless, the southpaw has had a forgettable campaign so far producing just 24 runs from five innings at an average of 8.00.There is no clarity on when he will be joining the squad at this moment.
