JAIPUR: Having failed to score big in the last two
Ranji Trophy outings this season, right-hand batsman Amit Gautam has been dropped for the next match that Rajasthan will play against Andhra Pradesh on January 3 at the SMS Stadium.
The opener has been replaced by rookie batsman Ramniwas Golara. Though, last year Gautam was as the third highest scorer for the team with 619 runs in 10 Ranji games.
It will be interesting to see who will now don the opener's role along with Chetan Bist. The 15-member squad announced by the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) also includes the name of seamer
Aniket Choudhary who missed out on the game against Vidarbha owing to a hamstring injury.
Playing under new captain
Robin Bist, Rajasthan have lost both the games it has played so far in the tournament. Moreover, a revised 15-member squad was also announced for the CK Nayudu Trophy match that Rajasthan will play against Vidarbha at the KL Saini Stadium from December 27.
