IND vs AUS: Australia’s Test Record at the Optus Stadium in Perth

Australia bid farewell to the WACA Ground in 2017, with the new Optus Stadium taking over as the home of international cricket in Perth. The Aussies have enjoyed a perfect record at their new fortress, winning all four Test matches played there. It will stage the starting act of the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

The Australian cricket team played their first and last Test match at the iconic Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) Ground in Perth against England in 1970 and December 2017 respectively.
The WACA was replaced by a new stadium to host international cricket matches in Perth. Named as The new Optus Stadium for sponsorship reasons, it has a capacity of 60,000 and was built in
January 2018.

The Australian men’s cricket team played their first Test match at the new venue against India in December 2018 and won that match.
Since playing their first Test at this ground, Australia have gone on to win the next three matches as well.
The pitch at the Optus Stadium is similar to the WACA in terms of the pace and bounce that it generates, and the Aussie quicks have been quite successful on this ground so far.
The upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy will get underway at the Optus Stadium in Perth.
