RCB vs MI highlights, IPL 2026: Royal Challengers Bengaluru win thriller; Mumbai Indians eliminated

RCB vs MI highlights, IPL 2026: Royal Challengers Bengaluru held their nerve in a last-ball thriller to knock Mumbai Indians out of IPL 2026 with a dramatic two-wicket win at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium on Sunday. Chasing 167 on a surface that challenged batters throughout, RCB were carried by Krunal Pandya’s fighting 73 and a sensational finishing burst from Bhuvneshwar Kumar to seal victory off the final delivery.

The chase began in chaos. Deepak Chahar struck early, removing Virat Kohli for a golden duck in the first over, while Devdutt Padikkal also fell cheaply as RCB slipped to 24/2. Corbin Bosch then joined the attack, dismissing skipper Rajat Patidar to leave Bengaluru reeling at 47/3 at the end of the powerplay.

At that stage, Mumbai were firmly on top. Jasprit Bumrah kept things tight, Bosch extracted awkward bounce, and the sluggish pitch made scoring difficult. Jacob Bethell tried to steady things with a patient 27, but the real shift came through Krunal Pandya.

Krunal first absorbed pressure, then gradually counterattacked. He used the angles cleverly, swept aggressively against Will Jacks and AM Ghazanfar, and targeted the straight boundary with increasing confidence. His towering six over wide long-on off Ghazanfar brought up a vital stand with Bethell and swung momentum back RCB’s way.

Even as wickets fell around him, Krunal kept fighting, visibly struggling with cramps but refusing to slow down. His calculated hitting against Bosch and Ghazanfar ensured RCB stayed within reach of the target.

Mumbai, however, kept responding through Bosch, who produced a brilliant 4/26, including a wicket-maiden that removed Bethell and later double strikes to dismiss Jitesh Sharma and Tim David. Bumrah’s penultimate over was equally suffocating, leaving RCB needing 15 off the last six balls.

The final over turned chaotic. A wide and a no-ball from Raj Bawa gave RCB hope, but he struck back by removing Romario Shepherd, pushing Mumbai back on top. That brought Bhuvneshwar Kumar to the crease.

Bhuvneshwar, earlier the star with the ball, then delivered the defining moment with the bat. After surviving a wide bouncer, he smashed Bawa over deep cover for a stunning six, before calmly taking a single to leave two needed off the last ball.

Rasikh Salam Dar struck it straight back and the batters completed the second run with a desperate dive, sparking wild celebrations in the RCB camp.

Earlier, Mumbai posted 166/7 after a strong recovery led by Tilak Varma’s 57 and Naman Dhir’s 47. But Bhuvneshwar’s sensational 4/23 had ripped through the top order, dismissing Rickelton, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and later Tilak to keep MI to a fighting total.

For Mumbai, it marked a heartbreaking end despite strong performances. For RCB, it was a victory built on resilience, Krunal’s grit, and Bhuvneshwar’s all-round brilliance in one of the season’s greatest thrillers.

RCB vs MI, IPL 2026: RCB’s Title Momentum Is Starting to Feel Real
Royal Challengers Bengaluru are no longer just entertaining contenders — they are beginning to look like genuine title favourites in IPL 2026.

This victory over Mumbai Indians was not a comfortable batting masterclass or a one-sided domination. It was something far more valuable: a pressure win. The kind of victory championship teams usually collect during difficult phases of a season.

RCB lost Virat Kohli for a duck. Devdutt Padikkal departed early. Rajat Patidar couldn’t settle. Wickets kept falling at regular intervals, and the required runs in the final over brought enormous pressure. Yet somehow, Bengaluru still found a way to win.

That ability to stay calm under chaos could become their biggest strength heading into the playoffs.

Rajat Patidar’s leadership also deserves appreciation. His decision-making, especially promoting Krunal Pandya up the order, turned out to be decisive. The bowling unit once again delivered collectively, and experienced names are peaking at the right moment.

Most importantly, RCB now sit at the top of the table with momentum, confidence, and belief growing stronger every game.

Fans have waited years to see a balanced Bengaluru side capable of surviving tough nights like these. This team suddenly feels different — tougher, calmer, and more complete.

RCB vs MI, IPL 2026: Mumbai Indians Eliminated - A Season Full of Missed Moments
Mumbai Indians are officially out of IPL 2026, and this defeat against RCB perfectly summed up their season — flashes of brilliance mixed with costly missed moments.

Despite posting 166 on a difficult surface, MI always looked slightly short. Tilak Varma and Naman Dhir produced an outstanding partnership and showed tremendous composure on a challenging pitch. Their ability to absorb pressure and still score freely gave Mumbai a fighting total when things could easily have collapsed.

The bowling effort also had positives. Corbin Bosch impressed again with his control and energy, while Raj Bawa showed courage by taking responsibility in the final over of a high-pressure contest. The game went down to the final ball, proving MI never stopped fighting.

But throughout the season, Mumbai struggled with timing — losing wickets at crucial stages, missing opportunities in pressure situations, and failing to close out tight games. Those small margins eventually became the difference between qualification and elimination.

Suryakumar Yadav called it a hard pill to swallow, and that perfectly captures the mood around the franchise tonight. MI will now look toward rebuilding, learning, and returning stronger next season.

For now, the five-time champions bow out.

RCB vs MI, IPL 2026: Bhuvneshwar Kumar Proves Class Never Fades
When pressure reaches its peak, experience becomes priceless. Bhuvneshwar Kumar showed exactly why he remains one of the smartest bowlers in T20 cricket with a complete all-round impact against Mumbai Indians.

On a difficult Raipur surface, Bhuvneshwar mastered the art of hitting the perfect length. The ball gripped, stopped slightly, and occasionally bounced unevenly, but he adapted quicker than anyone else. His control over seam position and pace variations kept MI under pressure throughout the innings. Four wickets in a high-stakes game speaks for itself.

But the moment everyone will replay is that fearless six in the final over. With RCB needing late boundaries and tension at its highest, Bhuvi stepped up and produced the shot of the night. Even he admitted afterward that the six gave him more joy than the wickets.

What also stood out was his honesty during the presentation. No dramatic motivation speeches, no clichés — just discipline, preparation, fitness, and consistency. That mindset is exactly why he continues delivering season after season.

Questions about whether Bhuvneshwar Kumar still belongs at the top level were answered loud and clear tonight. He absolutely does.

RCB vs MI, IPL 2026: Krunal Pandya’s Fighting Knock Defined the Night
There are innings built on timing and power, and then there are innings built on courage. Krunal Pandya’s match-winning effort against Mumbai Indians was all about courage, composure, and character under pressure.

Walking in after early wickets, Krunal understood the surface immediately. This wasn’t a batting paradise where hitters could simply swing through the line. The pitch was two-paced with uneven bounce, forcing batters to earn every run. Krunal adapted perfectly. He rotated strike smartly, attacked the right bowlers, and held the chase together while wickets kept falling around him.

What made the knock even more special was the physical battle. He admitted after the match that cramps spread from his calf to his glutes and back, yet he kept pushing through the pain because the game demanded it. That determination inspired the entire RCB dugout.

His emotional post-match moment with Kieron Pollard also touched fans deeply. From being MI’s trusted all-rounder to now hurting his former franchise in a playoff-deciding clash, cricket always finds a way to write emotional stories.

Big players show up in big moments. Krunal Pandya absolutely did tonight.

RCB vs MI, IPL 2026: RCB Rise to the Top in a Last-Ball Thriller
What a finish in Raipur! Royal Challengers Bengaluru pulled off one of the most dramatic wins of IPL 2026, defeating Mumbai Indians by 2 wickets on the final ball while chasing 167. The pressure was unreal, the emotions were everywhere, and RCB fans will remember this night for a very long time.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar delivered when it mattered most. First, he dismantled MI with a brilliant spell to finish with four wickets, then smashed the most unexpected and unforgettable six of the night in the final over. That one hit completely shifted the momentum and sealed a massive win for Bengaluru.

Krunal Pandya played the innings of grit and determination. Battling cramps from calf to back, he absorbed pressure, attacked when needed, and anchored the chase through the middle overs. His experience stood tall in crunch moments once again.

Mumbai Indians fought hard through Tilak Varma and Naman Dhir, but the defeat officially ends their playoff hopes. Meanwhile, RCB return to the top of the points table and strengthen their push for a Top 2 finish.

Pure IPL drama. Pure chaos. Pure entertainment.

RCB vs MI IPL Live: Strategic Break!
Strategic Break!

The match is beautifully poised heading into the final phase of the chase. Mumbai Indians had grabbed control through Corbin Bosch’s outstanding wicket-maiden, but Raj Bawa’s expensive follow-up over has allowed RCB to regain momentum. The youngster showed signs of pressure in an unfamiliar IPL situation, and MI now face some crucial tactical calls.

Suryakumar Yadav has largely trusted his pacers so far, while spin options like Will Jacks and AM Ghazanfar remain underused after bowling only two overs each. Interestingly, Raghu Sharma is yet to be introduced into the attack, making the next few overs critical from a captaincy standpoint.

For RCB, Krunal Pandya is playing a superb hand under pressure and is closing in on a valuable half-century. With proven power-hitters still to come, Bengaluru will feel they are very much in the contest needing 57 runs from 36 balls. However, the big moment arrives now with Jasprit Bumrah returning for his third over, carrying figures of 2-0-10-0.
22:53 (IST) May 10
RCB vs MI IPL Live: RCB need 57 runs in 36 balls
Royal Challengers Bengaluru produce a much-needed momentum-shifting over, collecting 16 runs off Raj Bawa to keep themselves firmly alive in the chase. After Corbin Bosch’s wicket-maiden had tightened the screws, Jitesh Sharma finally breaks free with a clean six over long-off to open his account in style and bring up RCB’s 100.

Krunal Pandya then takes charge towards the end of the over. Sensing pressure on the young bowler, Krunal punishes a slower short ball with a powerful pull to the deep square leg fence before Bawa loses control completely, conceding two wides in succession.

RCB now need 57 runs from the final 36 balls, with Krunal nearing a half-century and Jitesh beginning to find confidence at the crease. The contest is beautifully poised heading into the final phase, especially with Jasprit Bumrah still having two overs left in hand for Mumbai Indians.

RCB vs MI IPL Live: Wicket maiden!
Corbin Bosch produces a sensational wicket-maiden to swing the momentum firmly back in Mumbai Indians’ favour. The over begins with the crucial wicket of Jacob Bethell, who falls while trying to flick a fuller delivery towards deep square leg. Tilak Varma momentarily loses sight of the ball in the lights but somehow manages to hold on to the catch, ending the 55-run partnership at a crucial stage.

Bosch then turns up the pressure brilliantly against the new batter Jitesh Sharma. Mixing sharp pace with awkward back-of-a-length deliveries, the MI pacer gives Jitesh no room whatsoever to score. The surface assists Bosch as the ball grips and skids unpredictably, with Jitesh repeatedly beaten for timing and forced into cautious defence.

Four consecutive dot balls after the wicket complete a superb wicket-maiden over from Bosch, leaving RCB under mounting pressure in the chase.

IPL Live Score: Strategic time out!
Strategic Break!

The contest remains finely balanced with Royal Challengers Bengaluru requiring 102 runs from 66 balls on a surface that has consistently challenged the batters. The pitch has offered uneven bounce and grip throughout the evening, making strokeplay difficult, especially against hard lengths. However, with the ball gradually softening and a hint of dew yet to fully settle in, batting conditions could improve slightly in the latter half of the chase. RCB still have enough firepower left, but Mumbai Indians know a couple more wickets could tilt the game heavily in their favour.
22:18 (IST) May 10
IPL Live Score: Brilliant overs!
Good back-to-back overs for Mumbai Indians. Will Jacks bowled a super over, conceding 4 runs and now Corbin Bosch leaked just 5 runs. Mumbai Indians are keeping things right for RCB at the moment. RCB need a big stand.

22:11 (IST) May 10
IPL Live Score: Powerplay!
Royal Challengers Bengaluru endure a shaky Powerplay as Mumbai Indians seize early control of the chase, reducing them to 40/3 after six overs. Jacob Bethell provides a bright start by getting off the mark in style with consecutive boundaries against Deepak Chahar in the opening over, but MI quickly hit back through key wickets.

Virat Kohli departs for a golden duck after mistiming an attempted lofted shot off Chahar, handing Mumbai a massive early breakthrough. Chahar then strikes again by removing the in-form Devdutt Padikkal, who edges behind while poking at a delivery shaping away outside off.

Corbin Bosch further dents RCB’s chase in his very first over by dismissing skipper Rajat Patidar with a sharp short ball. Patidar’s half-hearted pull attempt only manages a top edge through to the wicketkeeper as RCB lose their third wicket inside the Powerplay.
22:06 (IST) May 10

WICKET! That's a big big wicket for Mumbai Indians. Corbin Bosch makes an immediate impact for Mumbai Indians with the crucial wicket of RCB captain Rajat Patidar.

Bowling a sharp back-of-a-length delivery, Bosch forces Patidar into an uncomfortable pull shot.

The RCB skipper appears caught in two minds, attempting a controlled stroke without fully committing to it.

As a result, the ball takes the top edge and flies behind to wicketkeeper Ryan Rickelton, who completes the catch safely. It is another massive blow for RCB as their chase slips further into trouble with the captain departing cheaply for 8.

RCB 39/3, need 128 runs in 89 balls vs Mumbai Indians

RCB vs MI IPL Live: Brilliant from Bumrah!
Mumbai Indians continue to tighten the screws after the early wickets as Jasprit Bumrah delivers another disciplined over to leave RCB at 32/2 after three overs. With Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal already back in the dugout, the pressure is firmly on Jacob Bethell and skipper Rajat Patidar to rebuild the chase.

Bumrah keeps probing hard lengths and gets the ball to straighten awkwardly off the pitch. Bethell survives a nervy moment on the final ball as a delivery flies past his flashing blade, with Ryan Rickelton unable to collect cleanly behind the stumps. Earlier in the over, Bumrah also squares Bethell up with extra movement, forcing an outside edge down to deep third.

RCB vs MI IPL Live: Mumbai Indians 166/7 in 20 overs vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru
Bhuvneshwar Kumar delivered a masterclass with the new ball and at the death as Royal Challengers Bengaluru restricted Mumbai Indians to 166/7 in their IPL 2026 clash at the innings break.

The veteran pacer finished with outstanding figures of 4/23 from his four overs, dismantling MI’s top order and ensuring the hosts never fully recovered despite a solid middle-order partnership between Tilak Varma and Naman Dhir.

Bhuvneshwar struck in the very first over by dismissing Ryan Rickelton before returning in his next over to remove Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav off successive deliveries. Rohit had briefly threatened to take the game away with a blazing 22 off just 10 balls, smashing two fours and two sixes, but Bhuvneshwar outfoxed him with a clever knuckleball. Suryakumar then departed for a golden duck, edging behind to Virat Kohli at slip.

At 28/3, Mumbai were in deep trouble before Tilak Varma and Naman Dhir steadied the innings with a crucial 82-run stand for the fourth wicket. Naman played aggressively during his 47 off 32 balls, striking five boundaries and two sixes, while Tilak anchored the recovery with a composed 57 off 42 deliveries.

RCB kept striking at key moments to stop MI from building sustained momentum. Rasikh Salam Dar broke the dangerous partnership by bowling Naman, Romario Shepherd removed Will Jacks, and Josh Hazlewood dismissed Raj Bawa in the penultimate over.

Bhuvneshwar returned once more to dismiss Tilak in the 18th over, ensuring Mumbai could not launch a strong finish. Despite the recovery from the middle order, MI managed only 56 runs in the final seven overs as RCB’s bowlers executed disciplined lines and lengths throughout the innings.
