The one-off Test match between Afghanistan and New Zealand has faced delays for a second day due to ongoing rain and pitch conditions at Greater Noida, near New Delhi. Ground staff used electric fans to dry out wet patches on the field, as rain continues to affect the one-off Test. The game was initially scheduled to start on Monday, but the toss has yet to happen.Groundsmen have also used tarpaulins to cover parts of the pitch and filled wet areas with dry soil and fresh turf. Umpires plan to inspect the pitch at 3 pm IST to determine if play is possible, but chances remain slim due to the soaked outfield.

"This is a huge mess. We are never coming back here," AFP quoted an ACB official from reports in the Indian media. This match is Afghanistan's 10th Test match. No public statements have been made by New Zealand's team, who will leave for Sri Lanka for a Test series before returning to India for a three-Test series .
