Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Sunday condoled the death of former cricketer and UP minister
Chetan Chauhan. Chauhan, 73, died on Sunday due to COVID-19 related complications at a hospital in Gurugram.
"Shri Chetan Chauhan was not only a great cricketer and cricket administrator, but was also a dedicated social worker. He did significant work as Member of Parliament and later as a Minister in the government of
Uttar Pradesh.
"I had the privilege of knowing Shri Chetan Chauhan intimately. His demise is a great loss to the world of cricket and to society at large. I convey my heartfelt condolences on his demise to the members of the bereaved family," the governor said in his message.
