NEW DELHI: In a thrilling encounter in the Ranji Trophy Group D, Yash Dhull and Jonty Sidhu showcased their batting prowess, propelling Delhi to a slender 11-run first innings lead against Odisha on Sunday.
Commencing day three with a solid foundation at 187 for two, Delhi exhibited resilience and determination, ultimately posting a commendable total of 451 all out in response to Odisha's 440 in the first innings, setting the stage for an intense battle on the field.

Yash Dhull, who encountered challenges while opening the batting earlier in the season, delivered a stellar performance batting at number three, crafting a composed innings of 112 runs off 167 balls. His invaluable contribution played a pivotal role in Delhi's pursuit of a competitive total, concluding the season on a high note amidst an inconsequential Ranji game destined for a draw.
Complementing Dhull's impressive display was Jonty Sidhu's remarkable unbeaten century. Sidhu's gritty knock of 105 runs off 218 deliveries injected momentum into Delhi's innings, ensuring they clinched a crucial first innings lead.
