After two days of no play because of bad weather, the third day saw Rajasthan making most of the limited time on the field as 42 overs were bowled on Sunday in a Group A fixture at the Chaudhry Bansi Lal Stadium in Lahli, Rohtak. The match finally began at 12.40 pm and after winning the toss, the bowling battery led by Aniket Choudhary reduced Haryana to 26/4 in 15 overs.

Haryana captain Ashok Menaria (18 off 48 balls) and wicketkeeper batter Rohit Sharma (38 not off 83 balls) laboured to a 33-run partnership off 86 balls. Menaria's resistance ended in the 30th over as he was trapped LBW by leg-spinner Rahul Chahar (6-1-22-2).
The hosts were 100/6 when the stumps were called.
Speaking to the publication after the day's play, Rajasthan vice-captain Aniket, who recorded figures of 12-6-15-2-, said, "Because of bad weather the match was delayed, but thankfully today the weather was slightly better and the sun showed up for a few hours. Obviously it's very frustrating that you are here to play the match, but you can't play. But no one can control weather conditions. Now our aim is to try and bowl out Haryana quickly and take the first innings lead."
Haryana skipper Menaria does not regret losing the toss. "I don't see Rajasthan gaining any advantage because of winning the toss as the wicket is going to remain the same because of bleak sunlight. There has been no sun here for the last 10 days and that's why the ball is turning because of moisture. It's a very challenging pitch for a batsman," Menaria said.
Brief score: Haryana 1st innings 100/6 (Ashok Menaria 18, Rohit Sharma 38 not out; Aniket Choudhary 2-12, Manav Suthar 2-23, Rahul Chahar 2-22) vs Rajasthan.
