Sai Kishore takes six for Grand Slam

CHENNAI: Left-arm spinner Sai Kishore returned with figures of 6 for 111 as Grand Slam bowled out Vijay CC for 370 in their first innings on Day 2 of the TNCA first division Elite clash at the Guru Nanak College ground here on Tuesday. For Vijay CC, S Abishiek (102) and KB Arun Karthik (113) led the show with the bat. In reply, Grand Slam were in a spot of bother at 180 for 6 in 66.1 overs.Rahil Shah stood out for Vijay CC, taking 4 for 69.
In another Elite clash, Globe Trotters were comfortably placed at 299 for 2 against India Pistons. K Mukunth (137 batting, 12x4, 1x6) and Washington Sundar (137 batting 10x4, 2x6) shared an unbroken 246-run stand for the third wicket to help Globe Trotters take control of the proceedings. For India Pistons, off-spinner M Prabhu took 2 for 64.
In a Plate encounter, Sumant Jain's 107 helped TI Cycles declare their second innings at 312 for 6 against AG's Office. Sumant's innings contained ten fours and three sixes. He added 163 runs for the fourth wicket with Avaikkarasan (59) to put TI Cycles in command. For the bowling side, offie AC Prathiban took 5 for 110. AG's Office, which started the day from 107 for 7, managed to score just 136 in their first innings. Left-arm spinners - Varun Sood (5 for 46) and R Sanjay Yadav (5 for 48) - were the pick of the lot among the bowlers.
Off-spinner S Mohan Raj was the other notable performer in Plate games, scalping five for 48 for CromBest against UFCC.
