TNCA League: Mandeep Singh slams ton for Swaraj

CHENNAI: Mandeep Singh slammed 121 to help Swaraj post 372 against AG's Office on Day One of their third-round TNCA first division clash here on Friday. It was Mandeep's second consecutive century in the league.
Elsewhere, experienced off-spinner Jalaj Saxena took 4 for 53 to enable Jolly Rovers to restrict Vijay CC to a moderate total of 263. Jalaj was supported ably by left-arm spinner DT Chandrasekhar and seamer T Natarajan, who finished with figures of 3/93 and 2/36 respectively.In response, Jolly Rovers reached 29 for no loss at stumps.
Youngsters Sanvir Singh and Anukul Roy, meanwhile, scored centuries to help Globe Trotters reach 338 for 6 against MRC 'A' at the end of the opening day. Both of them had scored centuries in their previous outing too. For MRC 'A', off-spinner S Swaminathan took 3 for 84 while Harpreet Brar picked up 2 for 80.
