Detailed description and analysis of new characters

Columbina

  • Rarity: 5-Star
  • Element: Hydro
  • Weapon: Catalyst
Columbina’s mechanics are entirely built around the “Lunar Reaction” system.
Her core function is meant to provide high frequency, sustained Hydro application for the team and it directly increases the damage base of Lunar Reactions. Her Elemental Skill “Moon Ring” continuously deals Hydro DMG on the field and accumulates resources whenever the team triggers a Lunar Reaction, leading to a powerful special attack. Her Elemental Burst creates a field that provides a significant Lunar Reaction DMG Bonus to the entire party. By keeping in mind all the details, the players can start preparing for the Columbina materials in advance.

Zibai:

  • Rarity: 5-Star
  • Element: Geo
  • Weapon: Sword
Zibai is the first main DPS character designed around the “Lunar-Crystallize” reaction. Her core gameplay involves entering an enhanced state via her Elemental Skill, then triggering “Lunar-Crystallize” reaction damage at a high frequency through rapid Normal Attacks and special skills. This reaction damage benefits from both DEF and Elemental Mastery, and Zibai’s talents further enhance its base damage.

Illuga:

  • Rarity: 4-Star
  • Element: Geo
  • Weapon: Polearm
Illuga is Zibai’s completely dedicated support system. His Elemental Burst grants a buff to the active character; when the character deals Geo or reaction damage, stacks are consumed to increase that damage. If the damage instance is a “Lunar-Crystallize” reaction, the amplification effect receives a massive boost based on Illuga’s own Elemental Mastery. His passive talents also provide additional CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, and Elemental Mastery to Geo teammates.

Rerun Characters

Neuvillette:

Remains among the top-tier carries, featuring a simple yet powerful Charged Attack-focused playstyle. A new outfit will be introduced alongside his rerun.

Ineffa:

An excellent off-field Electro Sub-DPS who provides shielding and a powerful team-wide Elemental Mastery buff. She is a premium piece for Flins’s “Lunar-Charged” (Overloaded) teams.

New Artifacts

“Aubade of Morning Star and Moon”

2-Piece: It increases Elemental Mastery by 80.4-Piece: It holds a great significance as it increases Lunar Reaction DMG for characters off-field. This is the best-in-slot artifact set for Columbina and all off-field Lunar Reaction characters and will be a farming priority after the update.

“Wherever a Breeze Blows”

2-Piece: ATK +18%4-Piece: Provides ATK and CRIT Rate bonuses. This set is more suitable for ATK-scaling characters that are related to the “Hexenzirkel,” such as Durin and Varka. In the hindsight, Genshin Impact Luna IV introduces a totally new strategic depth and team composition possibilities by bringing in Columbina as a system core along with the new duo of Zibai & Illuga.
