I am very happy to renew my contract with Odisha FC: Sajid Dhot

Indian Super League (ISL) side Odisha FC announced that defender Mohammad Sajid Dhot will continue to be a part of their squad till 2022. The 22-year-old Punjabi lad signed on the dotted lines to extend contract with the Bhubaneswar-based franchise on Monday.

Indian Super League (ISL) side Odisha FC announced that defender Mohammad Sajid Dhot will continue to be a part of their squad till 2022. The 22-year-old Punjabi lad signed on the dotted lines to extend contract with the Bhubaneswar-based franchise on Monday.
Expressing his delight, Sajid said, “I am very happy to renew my contract with Odisha FC. I have grown up as a player since I have joined here and want to thank each and everyone in the club for their love and support towards me.

I just want to achieve bigger things in the coming years here in OFC.”

Starting his senior career with DSK Shivajians in 2016, Sajid went on to play for the former I-League side for two seasons before joining erstwhile Delhi Dynamos in 2018, which was later rechristened as Odisha FC after shifting base from New Delhi to the Odisha capital before the start of the 2019-20 season.
Speaking on the development, club president Rohan Sharma said, “Sajid is a wonderful youngster who is hardworking and dedicated for the club. He is developing well in Odisha FC and has his best years ahead of him. I would definitely want to see him grow even further in the next couple of years. I am happy with his contract extension and wish him all the best for his future.”
Odisha FC finished the recently concluded season 6 on sixth position on the 10-team roster with 25 points from 18 games and managed seven wins and four draws under the tutelage of Josep Gombau. Meanwhile, the Spanish gaffer recently parted ways with the club sighting familial reasons after the end of the season.
