Hamburg, who had lost 17 and drawn three of their last 20 games against Bayern, took the lead in the 32nd minute through a Fabio Vieira penalty. Bayern responded with goals from Harry Kane and Luis Diaz before and after half-time, but Luka Vuskovic quickly equalised for the hosts. Late in the game, Alphonso Davies cleared a chance from Vieira to secure a point for Bayern. Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer said the draw “feels like a defeat,” while sporting director Max Eberl criticised the refereeing.Neuer, clearly dissatisfied, told Sky:"the draw feels like a defeat. We wanted more today, but when you look in the faces of our team, it's a good sign for next week that we want to attack again."This was Hamburg’s first result without defeat agaianst Bayern since 2014, after nine consecutive losses and 39 goals conceded.Arsenal loanee Vieira scored a penalty under Neuer’s hand to give Hamburg the lead, their first goal against Bayern in seven matches since 2016.
Kane equalised just before half-time, finishing from a rebound. Half-time substitute Diaz put Bayern ahead 90 seconds into the second half with a close-range finish from a Michael Olise pass. Hamburg levelled minutes later when Vuskovic headed a cross past Neuer, and the game ended 2-2.Hoffenheim continued their strong run with a 3-1 win over Union Berlin. Andrej Kramaric scored twice, and Union defender Diogo Leite scored an own goal. Hoffenheim have earned 19 points in their past seven matches and are now level with second-placed Dortmund. If we keep up the performances we've had in the past few weeks, we won't leave empty-handed."Bayer Leverkusen moved a point behind fourth-placed RB Leipzig with a 3-1 win at Eintracht Frankfurt, who are without a coach until Albert Riera takes over next week. Frankfurt’s Mario Goetze said, “We’ll be starting from zero.”Arthur gave Leverkusen the lead with his first Bundesliga goal after a backheel from Alejandro Grimaldo. Moments later, Malik Tillman took advantage of poor positioning from Frankfurt goalkeeper Kaua Santos to make it 2-0. Robin Koch pulled one back for Frankfurt after half-time, but Ellyes Skhiri received two yellow cards in three minutes, ending any chance of a comeback. Frankfurt have won just once in their last 13 games.Elsewhere, RB Leipzig lost 2-1 at home to Mainz. Conrad Harder put Leipzig ahead, but a penalty conceded by captain David Raum allowed Nadiem Amiri to equalise. Silas scored early in the second half to give Mainz the win.
