Dharmai strikes winner for Chimbai

MUMBAI: Chimbai Sports Club edged out Bandra Packers by a solitary goal in a fast paced and exciting Premier Division final of the 10th Bandra West Football League at the Supari Talao Municipal ground.
Floyd Dharmai’s powerful strike in the dying minutes of the game from the top of the box clinched the issue in favour of Chimbai. Skylarks Football Club lifted the Division-I title defeating Young XI 5-4 via the tie breaker after both teams ended regulation time with a goal apiece. Prakash Bist had scored for Skylarks in the very first minute of play and after lemon time Rakesh Varma found the equalizer.
Sea View Sports Club were crowned champions in the women’s event, when Blanca Barreto collecting a corner kick from Priyanka Singh in the 48th minute of play struck a powerful shot to give Sea View a solitary goal win over Football Leaders. Scoring once in each half Stanley Fernandes helped Bandra West Tigers down Bandra West Lions 2-0 in the Veterans event.
