LONDON: Harry Kewell scored a contender for goal of the season as Liverpool shrugged off the early dismissal of Steven Gerrard to beat Everton 3-1 in a tempestuous 203rd Merseyside derby. An own goal from Phil Neville in first-half stoppage time and a Luis Garcia strike two minutes after the restart saw Rafael Benitez's side take control of the lunchtime encounter.
