LONDON, July 16: Liverpool are willing to pay Tottenham 20 million for Robbie Keane, which would lift the Republic of Ireland striker's career transfer fees to almost 60 million.
Keane, 28, is a lifelong Liverpool fan and has made it clear he wants to move to Anfield, reports said.
Liverpool would be his sixth club after Wolverhampton Wanderers, Coventry City, Inter Milan, Leeds United and Tottenham.
Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez wants to sign Keane to inject pace into Liverpool's attack alongside main striker Fernando Torres.
