Samant Kumar to lead Bihar soccer team for Santosh trophy

PATNA: Samant Kumar will lead a 20-member Bihar team to take part in the 71th National Football Championship for East Zone Santosh Trophy to be held at Bokaro in Jharkhand from December 28 to January 6, 2017.
Syed Imtiaz Hussain, Secretary of the Bihar Football Association said today that Bihar will clash with Indian Railways on the opening day.
Besides the two teams, other participants in the tournament include West Bengal and Jharkhand.
Squad: Samant Kumar (captain), Manjit Ghosh, Mohammad Javed, Mohammad Salluddin Middeyi, Rohit Raj, Hasrat Ali, Siroj Ansari, Md. Sarfaraz, Jeet Tamang, Durg Murmu, Kilshad Ali, Aditya Kumar, Shahbaz Khan, Satyam Raj, Manish Kumar, Sarfaraz, Mohammad Dilshad, Shibang Kumar, Manish Raj amd Kailash Kumar.
Vinet Kumar and Sudipto Majumder will be the team manager and coach respectively, Hussain said.
