MALMO, August 5: Three bogeys in four holes on the second nine resulted in Jyoti Randhawa missing the cut at the EnterCard Scandinavian Masters.
With rounds of 75 and 73, Randhawa ended at four-over and in tied 116th place, not good enough to make the weekend rounds.
At one stage, the Indian seemed close to making the cut when he made the turn at two-under after starting from the 10th tee at the 7,356-yard course here.
But Randhawa, who had a tied 22nd finish last week in Hamburg at Deutsche Bank Players Championships, bogeyed the first, third and fourth and even the birdie on fifth did not help as he finished the second round in one-over 73 for a four-over total of 148 for the two days.
He missed the cut by two shots as it came at two-over with 81 players making the weekend rounds. Randhawa missed too many fairways and needed 30 putts on each of the two days.
Mark Roe had a spectacular birdie on the final hole to take a share of the lead going into the third round. He was stuck behind a tree after his tee shot, hit a shot that saw his seven-iron break into three pieces, but the ball landed on the green for him to slot a birdie. He had a second round of 65 and was 10-under for two days.
He held the lead with Belgium's Nicolas Colsaerts, who carded a 67 in his second round. Swede Fredrik Jacobson (67) and Scot Marc Warren (69) were two shots back in tied third position.
