Tyson Fury is coming back. The former world champion has filled his social media feed with training clips, distance runs, and conditioning work as he gears up for another chapter inside the ring. While most details of his comeback fight, including dates and venues, are yet to be decided, the direction of his comeback has started to take shape. As Fury builds toward a return later this year, potential opponents have begun to circle. One name has now moved into the conversation through direct outreach from a promoter eager to test his fighter against one of boxing’s most recognizable figures. And it is none other than American heavyweight contender Brandon Moore.

Tyson Fury has been offered a fight against American heavyweight contender Brandon Moore

Tyson Fury has been offered a comeback bout against American heavyweight Brandon Moore, who is the reigning USBA heavyweight champion. The proposal came from Moore’s promoter, Dmitriy Salita, who confirmed his interest in opening talks for a possible fight.“Brandon Moore is the reigning USBA Heavyweight Champion and is coming off three straight victories over previously undefeated fighters,” Salita told Sky Sports.
“He's a legitimate American heavyweight, 6'6" tall, 240 to 250lbs, big, strong and continuing to improve. From a physical standpoint, he reflects the modern heavyweight profile associated with Anthony Joshua while very much being his own fighter. This is someone who wants to test himself at the highest level, and facing Tyson Fury represents exactly that.”Fury retired in January 2025 after back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk, then reversed course months later. The plan now points toward a controlled return fight before targeting larger bouts in 2026. With long-term options uncertain, Moore has emerged as one of several names seeking the opportunity.

Who is Brandon Moore?

Brandon Moore enters the discussion with a record of 19 wins, 10 by stoppage, and one defeat. His lone loss came against Olympic silver medalist Richard Torrez Jr in May 2024. Since then, Moore has rebuilt his strength with a string of victories on the domestic circuit.Standing at 6 feet 6 and weighing between 240 and 250 pounds, Moore fits the modern heavyweight frame. His recent run has helped him secure the USBA title and placed him on the radar as a possible entry-level test for elite opposition returning from time away.

Tyson Fury prepares hard as he calls himself ‘raving lunatic’

While talks swirl, Fury continues to post intense training footage from Thailand. One clip showed him jogging with a heavy log across his shoulders. Another featured him dragging a tree through a field. Fury has leaned into the grind and explained the mindset behind it.“This is the stuff that people don't see,” Fury said on Instagram. “Behind the scenes, the hard graft. The hard work that goes into fights, camps, life. It's not all glitz and glamour. It's not all sunshine and rainbows.”He added, “Like Muhammad Ali said, the winning and losing is done long before you enter that ring. Winning is done in silence. Hard work is done in silence.”Fury has labeled himself a “raving lunatic” during camp, embracing the extremes as he prepares for what he hopes will be a full-scale return. Whether Brandon Moore becomes the opponent remains unknown, but Fury is training for a comeback. Also Read: Conor McGregor shares details of his biggest dream as he aims to make it a reality
