A former Team USA figure skating medallist has passed away after a shocking shooting at a Starbucks drive-thru in St. Louis, Missouri. Gabrielle “Sam” Linehan, 28, was attacked shortly after 10 a.m. on Tuesday while sitting in her car. Police say the suspect approached her vehicle and carried out the shooting in broad daylight. Linehan, who later became a skating coach, was rushed to a nearby hospital, but doctors were unable to save her life.Authorities arrested 58-year-old Keith Lamon Brown in connection with the killing, as reported by The New York Post. Investigators say he robbed Linehan at gunpoint before firing at close range. The case has shocked the local community and the skating world. Brown now faces several serious charges, including first-degree murder. Police also believe he was responsible for other armed robberies in the days leading up to the incident.

According to police documents, surveillance footage shows the suspect approaching Gabrielle “Sam” Linehan’s car while wearing a high-visibility vest and helmet. He allegedly ordered her to raise her hands and then fired at point-blank range.
Investigators say he stole her bank cards and driving license after the attack.Linehan won a silver medal at the 2014 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships. After retiring from competition, she worked as a coach and helped young skaters to develop their skills. Members of the skating community described her as a supportive teacher who cared deeply about her athletes.Authorities said Brown had already been under investigation for two earlier incidents. On February 6, he allegedly confronted a woman at a Jack in the Box drive-thru, threatened her with a firearm and stole her belongings, including a purse and phone. Two days later, he reportedly robbed a Dollar General store cashier at gunpoint. Officers say shots were fired during both robberies.Police arrested Brown on Wednesday. He now faces first-degree murder, three counts of first-degree robbery, four counts of armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm. He is being held without bond at the St. Louis City Justice Center.In a statement, Linehan’s skating team honored her memory, describing her as a valued coach, mentor and friend. They said her influence extended beyond the ice and that their priority is supporting her family and helping athletes cope with the loss.
