Jarren Duran's battle with mental health
In the fourth episode of the series, "Still Alive," Jarren Duran candidly shares the challenges he faced during his initial days of playing in Major League Baseball. Drafted in 2018 and debuting with MLB in 2021, Jarren Duran battled massive attempts at acclimatizing himself to the outfield position and dealing with the enormity of pressure that was poured upon him.
The aggressive observation by the media and the public propelled him to a deep state of depression. Jarren Duran remembers one of the low points of the 2022 season when he was buried under pressure from himself and media criticism. He has also recalled that he tried to commit suicide.
