The 21-year-old Manikanta demonstrated his exceptional speed by clocking an impressive time of 10.23 seconds, securing victory in heat number 3 and securing his spot in the final.

This achievement marks a significant milestone, as he surpassed the previous national record of 10.26 seconds, previously held by Amiya Kumar Mallick of Odisha since 2016.
