Squash players Kush, Vijay reach quarters in Youth Asian Games

Kush Kumar and Vijay Kumar reached the quarterfinals of the squash event in the ongoing Youth Asian Games but Harshit Kaur and Tanvi Khanna bowed out.

NANJING (China): India's Kush Kumar and Vijay Kumar reached the quarterfinals of the squash event in the ongoing Youth Asian Games but Harshit Kaur and Tanvi Khanna bowed out in the prestigious event on Saturday.
In the boys section, Kush beat Jordanian Hamza Al Zubaidi 3-0. He was in complete control throughout the match. He will take on Chris Lo of Hong Kong in the quarters tomorrow.

Vijay had some anxious moments against Japanese Tsukue Ryunosuke, but came through with a 3-0 win. He will play Yuen Tsun Hei of Hong Kong.
However, both the girls lost in very close quarterfinal matches. Tanvi lost 3-0, while Harshit 3-1.
In the first match, Harshit and Tanvi had won their matches easily with a 3-0 margin.
But, in the quarterfinals, both came up against the top 2 seeds of the tournament.
While, Tanvi played Vanessa Raj of Malaysia on the all glass court, Harshit played the second seed Pansy Chan of Hong Kong.
