Steel Stripes wins National Bridge Championship team title

CHANDIGARH: The Steel Stripes team won the team event title at the National Bridge Championships. The duo of Abhijit Chakraborty and Parsua Mukhapadhyay emerged champions in the pairs group.
In the National Bridge Championship organized by Punjab Bridge Association and Steel Strips Group at Hotel Mountview here, 10 teams in the team group reached the Super League. The Steel Stripes became champion with 112.66 points while the VAASP team was the runners up with 79.33 points.Rahul's Four secured the third position with 78.36 points and Sri Radhe's team secured the fourth position with 70.96 points.
In the pair group, the duo of Abhijit Chakraborty and Parsua Mukhapadhyay won with 1342.11 points and the pair of Arun Bapat and Gopinath was runners-up with 1289.15 points. The duo of Srinivasan and Siman secured the third position with 1287.57 points and the duo of Rakesh Sharma and PK Nayyar secured the fourth position with 1237.81 points.
Founder Chairman of Punjab Bridge Association and former Chief Secretary of Punjab KR Lakhanpal, Chairman and MD of Steel Strips Group RK Garg and Vice President of the Association and former Additional Chief Secretary of Punjab Viswajeet Khanna distributed the prizes.
