Angel Reese supports brother Julian Reese after NBA Summer League debut in California
On July 6, Angel Reese showed love for his younger brother Julian Reese after his debut in the NBA Summer League with the Los Angeles Lakers. The game was held at the California Classic Summer League in Sacramento, California, where the Lakers played the Golden State Warriors.
Julian Reese signed a free-agent exhibition 10 agreement with the Lakers on June 29. He had just wrapped up four seasons at the University of Maryland. In Saturday's match, he started for the Lakers and made his first NBA bucket in the second quarter. He ended with 2 points, 2 returns and 1-AV-2 shooting in just over eight minutes of play time.

Although the Lakers lost 84–89, the moment was a milestone for Julian, and Angel Reese was quick to react. She posted a short cheer on X:
“COME ON JU.”
It was a simple three-word post, but it caught the attention of both WNBA and NBA fans. The post came just minutes after Julian's shot began circulating online.

Angel Reese didn’t stop at one post. Earlier in the week, she also shared a birthday message for her brother on Instagram after his Lakers signing became official. She wrote:
“Happy birthday to my twinflameeee! Rockin' & rolling with you no matter what! @shifty_ju”
Julian Reese is now fighting for a future in the NBA.
His Exhibit 10 contract means he could earn a spot in training camp or sign a two-way deal if he impresses. His college stats back his case 13.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, and 55.5% shooting from the field. But competition is tight, with names like Cole Swider and Darius Bazley also chasing minutes in the Lakers' frontcourt.
Julian’s next Summer League game is against the Miami Heat, and Angel is expected to keep cheering. Her own WNBA career is flying high, she recently became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 500 points and 500 rebounds.
