Caitlin Clark watched as the Los Angeles Lakers pulled off an exciting 120-119 win against the Indiana Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, thanks to a last-minute tip-in by
LeBron James. Luka Doncic was the star for the Lakers, scoring 34 points, while Austin Reaves added 24. LeBron had a bit of a rough start but ended up with 13 points, 13 rebounds, and seven assists. For the Pacers, Bennedict Mathurin shone off the bench with 23 points, and Tyrese Haliburton contributed 16 points along with 18 assists.
Speaking of the performance, Caitlin Clark also had a record-setting year, scoring 769 points, hitting 122 three-pointers, and dishing out 337 assists. Her outstanding achievements led her to win the WNBA Rookie of the Year award and secure a place on the First-Team All-WNBA roster.
During the showdown, the game was getting more and more intense and when both teams were short on time, their desperation for the win was noticeable. In the end, Luka Doncic shot the ball into the basket but when the aim did not align LeBron came and saved the day and at that time only 0.1 second time was remaining.
