Chicago Bulls vs Detroit Pistons: Zach Lavine, Coby White, and Vucevic combine for 79 point outburst

The Chicago Bulls secured a victory against the Detroit Pistons. Zach Lavine, Coby White, and Nikola Vucevic led the Bulls' scoring. The trio achieved a rare NBA feat with their performance. The Bulls displayed impressive three-point shooting throughout the game. The team aims to build on this win and secure a playoff spot this season.

The Chicago Bulls improved to 6-9 for the season after defeating the Detroit Pistons thanks to a 79 point combined outburst by Zach Lavine, Coby White, and Nikola Vucevic. For a good part of this matchup, the Bulls held the lead and were comfortable. However, things got a little concerning during the fourth quarter as the Pistons were able to get within five points.
But, Zach Lavine came to his team’s rescue and poured in 18 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter. Thanks to his hot streak, the Bulls were able to close the game out at 122-112. What’s interesting about the Bulls’ night is the fact that Lavine, White and Vucevic scored 25+ points while also making 5+ three pointers each.
This is only the eighth time in NBA history that three teammates have recorded 25+ points with 5+ 3PM in one game. If we take a closer look at the Bulls’ stats, it becomes clear that Lavine, White and Vucevic weren’t the only ones on fire from three. In fact, the Bulls shot 50% from three as a team during their game against the Detroit Pistons.

Chicago Bulls would benefit from building around Lavine, White and Vucevic

Zach Lavine and Nikola Vucevic may not be bona fide superstars in the NBA, but they can surely lead a team if need be. With another threat like Coby White on the floor, the Bulls have the perfect opportunity to make some noise this season. Currently, they occupy the ninth spot in the Western Conference.
Now, if they’re able to string some wins together and find some kind of consistency, it should actually be possible for them to reach the playoffs. The last time this team made the playoffs was during the 2021-22 season, where they lost to Giannis Antetokounmpo and his Milwaukee Bucks in the first round.

Will this finally be the year we get to see the Chicago Bulls running it back in the playoffs? A lot of how this season will play out also depends on what kind of form Lonzo Ball will be in upon his return. Ball has spent an extended period of time away from the game and if he is rusty the team will suffer. However, if he still has the knack for play making, the Bulls could do some damage this season.
