The NBA All-Star roster is out, and there are some snubs as well as surprise selections. Names like LeBron James and Steph Curry made it to the Western Conference starting roster, while Jayson Tatum and Donovan Mitchell are coming in from the Eastern Conference. The reserves roster is also out, and Mitchell's teammates, Evan Mobley and Darius Garland have made the list.

Three stars from the Cleveland Cavaliers get All-Star nods

The Cleveland Cavaliers are top of the Eastern Conference table with 39 wins, and three of their players have made it to the NBA All-Star list. This is obviously a big time for the team, and teammates are really happy for the three stars who got the All-Star nod. This is Garland’s second NBA All-Star appearance and Mobley’s first. And their teammate, Darius "Spida" Mitchell, who earned his sixth All-Star nod, was quite happy with how his team faired in the select.
"It's a testament to our team, its a testament to their hard work... For Darius, it's the second one; for Evan, it's the first one. I think it's a big time."
The All-Star starter is happy with their team's work. This is the third time in the history of the Cavaliers that they have earned three NBA All-Star selections (1989, 1993, and 2017) and just the second time that three All-Star players are accompanied by their head coach (1989). Cavaliers Head Coach Kenny Atkinson will be heading the Eastern Conference team, a big accomplishment for the team.

Garland and Mobley turn up the heat against the Hawks

After the All-Star nominees were announced, reserve selections from the Cleveland Cavaliers - Darius Garland and Evan Mobley gave an electric performance to take the win against the Atlanta Hawks. Garland scored 26 points and Mobley had 16 points and 10 rebounds in the Cavaliers 137-115 win over the Hawks.

Donovan Mitchell - their star shooting guard, who has been selected as an All-Star starter, scored 24 points for the Cavaliers. But the reserve shooting guard for the All-Star was the star with two extra points in his pocket. The brand new All-Star power forward, Evan Mobley, also has a pretty decent game. And now we are all waiting for the All-Star Weekend, which will take place over the third weekend of February from 14 to 16.
