Kyrie Irving is truly a magician on the court. With incredible ball-handling skills and killer crossovers, he is an elite offensive powerhouse. From the championship highs of Cleveland in 2016 to his resurgence in Dallas on a 3-year extension worth $119 million in 2025, Kyrie’s financial portfolio has mirrored his career: massive guaranteed contracts, high-profile breakups, and a pioneering shift toward international brand autonomy. As per Celebrity Net Worth, Kyrie Irving’s net worth is currently estimated to be at $90 million.

Kyrie Irving’s max contract and breakup with Nike

Kyrie Irving was drafted as the first overall pick by the Cavaliers in 2011 and stayed with them till 2017. Everyone remembers that 25-foot three-pointer that sealed the Warriors' loss and brought his and the Cavaliers' first NBA championship.Kyrie was in the middle of a five-year, $94 million rookie extension when he requested a trade and joined the Boston Celtics in 2017. But after repeated injuries and off-court problems, Kyrie left the Celtics and joined the Nets in 2019, where he signed a four-year, $136 million maximum contract. In the background, his signature shoe with Nike, Kyrie, was generating significant revenue due to its popularity and paid him roughly $11 million annually. But the deal was cancelled by Nike in 2022 after sharing an anti-semitic film link.
Due to this, he lost a significant income source, and it was believed that his decline was near.
But Kyrie’s move to the Dallas Mavericks in 2023 changed the trajectory of his career and financial landscape. He secured a three-year, $120 million deal that fetched him an average salary of $40 million. This deal was restructured into a new three-year, $118 million veteran extension in 2025 to help the Mavs with cap flexibility while giving him time to heal from the ACL tear sustained in March 2025. Under this deal, Kyrie is set to earn a base salary of $36.5 million this season, $39.4 million in 2026-27, and $42.4 million in 2027-28. The 9-time NBA All-Star's current career earnings as per Sportrac stand at a staggering $347.7 million, and by the time this current extension ends, it is expected to be approximately $430 million, making him one of the highest on-court earners in the NBA. Kyrie Irving's off-court statements and actions have stirred up a lot of controversy, but it is undeniable that as a basketball player he posseses incredible skill and talent.

Kyrie’s global expansion with ANTA and other passive incomes

After the fallout with Nike, Kyrie signed an estimated $100 million contract with a Chinese sportswear company called ANTA in 2023 and released his signature shoe line, ANTA Kai. This deal was unlike any standard shoe deal, as it gave Kyrie the option to take on the role of Chief Creative Officer, with control and freedom over his design. This partnership, alongside other investments in platforms like KICKSCREW and his Uncle Drew film royalties, has insulated his wealth against the loss of traditional US-based sponsors. Also read: Damian Lillard net worth timeline (2016 to 2026): NBA salary, brand collaborations, and more
