Jonathan, with his appearance in limited games this season, is currently averaging 12.1 points with 5.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists. On the other hand, Kristaps is averaging 17.1 points with 5.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists. While the teams have their own reasons for trading these particular athletes, the stunning move has reunited former Boston Celtics NBA champions Kristaps and Al Horford. Both athletes were teammates when the Celtics won the NBA championship in 2024.

On the other hand, Kristaps Porzingis could not yield results for the Hawks this season. With the advantage of having enough frontcourt depth, the team is in a position to let go of the center forward.
