A few months before their high profile break up, the popular Grammy winner Megan Thee Stallion opened up about the things she has faced in her life.
In an interview with VICE, Megan Thee Stallion said, “Through all of that grief, I was just working and trying to be the best Megan I could be…”
The “Something for thee Hotties” artist added, “I didn’t know I needed therapy until one day, I was just like, ‘Damn, I’m really sad, and it’s really scary how sad I am.”
The three time Grammy winner continued, “And it was like, I didn’t care what happened to me. And I didn’t want to feel like that, like I should care about my life.”
For the unversed, over the last couple of years, Megan Thee Stallion has been public with her grief as she faced the loss of her mother in 2019 and the infamous Tory Lanez lawsuit.
At the age of 25, Megan Thee Stallion ended up losing both her parents after her mother lost the fight against brain tumor in 2019.
The “Cobra” artist had already lost her father when she was in ninth grade and was raised by her mother and grandmother.
As Megan Thee Stallion fought through her grief, she was shot and later dragged into an infamous lawsuit by her former friend, Tory Lanez.
Years later, as Megan Thee Stallion found love in Klay Thompson, many rooted for the couple.
However, it seems unlikely that the two will rekindle their romance as Megan Thee Stallion remains completely focused on her work as she remains distant from talking about the Dallas Mavericks’ star player in public again.
