The Los Angeles Police Department recently informed NBC4 Investigates that the home of NFL offensive tackle Hroniss Grasu and WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu was broken into on Monday night. Around 8 p.m., police arrived at the residence of the professional athletes. A glass sliding window at the back of the house was broken, setting off a security alert. In the early evening, two suspects broke through the rear glass door of the house in the Los Angeles region, looted items, and ravaged the area.

Authorities told The Post that WNBA player Sabrina Ionescu and her husband, former NFL offensive lineman Hroniss Grasu, had their Los Angeles Southern California home broken into on Monday night. According to authorities, two robbers wearing ski masks stormed into the home and took multiple purses valued at over $60,000. As per the authorities, the thieves:“Ransacked the location and took the victim’s property..”
The police further said that they then drove off in an unidentified car in an unidentified direction. When it happened, neither Ionescu nor Grasu were at home. One of the family members came to the house.
Police then started examining security camera footage after receiving a report. As of Tuesday morning, there were no reported arrests.

Sabrina Ionescu and her husband are popular athletes

Ionescu is one of the top players in the WNBA, who was selected first overall by the New York Liberty in the 2020 draft. In her six seasons in the league, she has won one title and been named an All-Star four times. She was selected first overall. She contributed significantly to the Liberty's title run two years ago and was named to the all-WNBA team in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. On the other hand, Grasu was selected by the Bears in the third round of the 2015 draft and played in the NFL from 2015 to 2023. He played high school football at Crespi Carmelite in Encino before being selected by the Chicago Bears in the 2015 NFL Draft. After that, he played for the 49ers and Ravens before joining the Raiders for two seasons. Both athletes attended the University of Oregon.
