MUMBAI: Akash Parkar and Jayant Jadhav picked four wickets each to help
Air India regain the Times Shield 'A' division title on the third day of the final played at the MIG ground, Bandra, on Wednesday.
Air India dismissed Tata Sports Club for 456 after posting a mammoth 612 to win the match on first innings lead. They had defeated the same opponents in the 2010 final the same way.
Resuming at 116 for 2, Tata needed another 496 runs for a lead but centuries by Nikhil Patil (119) and
Wilkin Mota (118 n.o.) were not enough.
Both put on 100 runs for the fourth wicket. Patil's 330-minute stay at the wicket was studded with 18 fours. Mota, on the other hand, faced 132 balls for his century which included four sixes and 14 hits to the fence.
Earlier, left-hander Praful Waghela added 49 runs to the total with seven fours. For Air India, off-spinner Jadhav scalped 4-161, while Parkar took 4-62.
