Atapattu likely to be included in Lankan team

Reeling under the One-day series defeat against England, theSri Lankan cricket team is likely to get a boost with the return of formercaptain Marvan Atapattu for the forthcoming Test series against Australia,beginning from November 8. "It's almost sure that Atapattu will jointhe team. However, a final decision about his inclusion in the side would beknown tomorrow," Sri Lankan Sports Minister Gamini Lokuge told.Earlier, Atapattu was ruled out of the Sri Lankan squad for the tourof Australia. Lokuge recently met the Chairman of Sri Lankan CricketAsantha de Mel to iron out the problems. Atapattu had criticisedcricket authorities and lashed out at the selectors recently, saying he had nofaith in them.
